Today I dropped off all my documents at the agency. Just as I expected, I managed to get it done in 3 days.
"There's good news and bad news." - now I understand that this is universal balance :))))
The good news is that I haven't had to stand in long lines even once when visiting the agency. Every time I go, there's practically no one there. And I seem to go at different times. I guess I'm just lucky. )
And the bad news. Well, the girls will probably understand me.
I took my visa photo, hair perfectly in place, everything looked great. And what do you think: the embassy website didn't accept it! Apparently, it requires ears and forehead to be visible! The site told me exactly that when it "spat out" my photo.
I had to go and get it retaken. Of course, I didn't keep the receipt, so I had to pay again. But that's not the point. In the new photo, I look kind of crooked. Yes, yes, absolutely crooked. Even my younger sister laughed like crazy when she saw it. But she calmed me down, saying it was just an unlucky shot. At least the embassy site accepted it with flying colors!
I opened both photos side by side. And I was just stunned, two different people. The first one is a beauty, and the second one looks sleepy, like after a bender :))))))
But going to get it taken a third time, no way... I don't want to. Plus, I'm telling myself that the visa photo is tiny, not like me opening it full screen :)))))))))
P.S. I'm just not lucky with visas. My Lithuanian visa photo isn't great either :)))
