I think that, just like for everyone else, the day of the interview at the consulate was the most nerve-wracking and crucial step on the way to an unforgettable summer vacation.
But despite all the worries and anxiety, I finally received my long-awaited visa.
I would like to add that the stereotypes about a consul in a certain window being "kind" and giving visas to absolutely everyone, while another consul was "very mean," were shattered the moment I sat in the interview queue. I saw that visas were being issued to everyone who had at least a conversational level of English and could understand the questions and answer them clearly enough, while rejections were only for real reasons (when people didn't understand elementary questions or just stayed silent).
The consuls were actually very friendly, smiling, and even helped us answer questions by supporting us. So, I would like to wish good luck and confidence to all program participants. There is no need to believe in all sorts of fables about mean or other types of consuls, or to look at statistics from previous years, because it is you who are going to America, and everything depends only on you!
Of course, it wouldn't hurt to go over the consul's questions a bit, and since all questions will be asked only about you, know that you just need to tell the truth, and then you won't need to memorize anything or worry. Believe in yourself, and you will definitely get your lucky ticket to a summer full of adventures!!!
