So? Just like a year ago. A grand homecoming took place. Or rather, mine was quite quiet, considering that many of my friends traveled at the same time as me and they returned a couple of days later. There was a commotion at the airport exit. I, for my part, returned home calmly and celebrated both my return and my birthday with my family. Yes, I returned exactly on September 25th. On my birthday.
I also met up with my friend, and then just returned to normal life.
Having returned home on Friday, I went to classes on Monday. And that's it.
It's as if those 4.5 months of another life never happened again. What kind of life, exactly?
In 2 days, it will be 3 months since my return. And there has been plenty of time to rethink everything. And in fact, Glacier still doesn't leave me. To some extent, I realize that a piece of my heart has remained there for life. 40% of my dreams are about work, friends from there, etc. It's all terribly difficult at some point. It even somehow distances me from life here. It creates certain barriers to the existing ones.
People haven't disappeared from my life, we still text, often post photos that everyone forgot about, remember inside jokes and music that reminds us of the shared moments of this summer. After all, that's what that family is for. I still have the same people from the first year. Even though I almost don't talk to them, I know that when we meet, we will hug just like before.
But the most important thing is to remember that home is, of course, still better. At home there is family, at home there are friends, at home there is study. Don't forget about this. It's good to be a guest, yes, but home is still better, no matter how you look at it.
But I will repeat last year's words: "But you can ask where I would like to spend every subsequent summer of my life. Although you already know the answer.
I'd rather be in Glacier national park."
Friends, to be honest, I spent more than a month writing this blog to put everything I remember into it. It is colossally different from what was in last year's blog. If last time I tried to tell as much as possible about what could help you, this time I just talked about my impressions. Why so? Because I didn't have enough information for a "useful" blog. So I diluted it with exactly what I felt. I hope you liked it. If you have any questions, you can always contact me. I am ready to help, considering that I have already done this before.
Thank you for reading to the end. It is incredibly pleasant.
