Same question as last year.
To be honest, this year I had mixed feelings about whether to do it or not, since last year there were a lot of misunderstandings with management and some disagreements regarding working hours. There was also the fact that everyone who worked two years ago expected significantly more hours last year, but it turned out that the owners just hired more cooks and cut overtime to avoid overpaying. Smart, right?
But...
This is still my second home. Here are the people I love. Here is the work that, even though I sometimes hate it, I also sometimes really enjoy doing, and from which I can get some self-satisfaction. Sometimes I really love the routine here... Even though it drives me crazy sometimes.
For returning, the company offered me a new salary and a promotion that I received in the middle of last season - Lead Prep Cook. So, this is also a kind of motivation - to return to a place where you already seem to have some weight.
And I've said it before, only people who have found their place will understand me in this case. I found it. Even if only partially, I am happy here. In the middle of every season, I constantly have serious discussions with colleagues about whether it's worth returning for the next season, even though I realize that I want to come back. Which, in fact, is what I did this year. Do I regret it? No.
So, hello again.
