I arrive in San Francisco after a long journey. I need to get to my workplace, but only Greyhound buses go there. What can I do? I buy tickets, board, but don't have time to tag my suitcase. I ask the driver. He says it's not a problem. We drive to the capital of California, Sacramento. A long stop and a driver change. It's hot, I'm sipping soda and notice the new driver taking my suitcase out of the luggage compartment. I run up and ask: "What's the problem?" He replies: "Go to the station and get a luggage tag, I'll wait for you." I stand in line and get the tag, happily anticipating the rest of the trip, but when I walk outside, I see my suitcase lying alone on the platform and black smoke from the bus.
Yes, yes. He just left. At the station, they said the driver was "just a crazy man," but that didn't save me.
I waited 4 hours for the next bus.
