Now I know everything about the main attractions in Rehoboth! First of all, there are three shopping centers, and you don't have to pay taxes in any of them. That's Delaware for you! Secondly, there are water parks where you can go down water slides. Thirdly, they have the best restaurants on the coast - or so says Jane, whom I managed to chat with at the pool by our RV park. She works there as a lifeguard (even though the pool is about the size of my bathtub), and she actually took over the job from her daughter, who comes here for the summer because there's no work in Florida, where she lives, during the summer due to the heat. Then we drove to Ocean City, Maryland. I was driving the RV and was very proud of myself, and Lena (the one from RTtax) helped me by writing down the landmarks we passed. So: a gas station that I think only exists on this coast; a "turtles crossing - next 20 miles" sign; a hurricane shelter marked "safety" (I've never seen one of those before!); a water tower... And so on. The main thing is that one town - say, Rehoboth - smoothly transitions into another - Bethany Beach. And apparently, the whole coast is like that! And now we're sitting here eating crabcakes, which are served everywhere here because we're by the sea and there's fresh seafood. The resort vibe is definitely leveling up!
