Our unforgettable summer in America has come to an end. After a week-long trip to Miami, we had one more day left on Cape Cod. We finished our journey across America in the same place where it began. I must say, Sandwich, like Cape Cod as a whole, captured my heart. This seemingly small, quiet, and peaceful peninsula, which attracts residents of neighboring cities tired of noisy metropolises, but possesses a unique 'pristine' nature and an open soul, has forever taken a piece of my heart. Although at first glance, Sandwich seemed like a 'pensioner' town without much entertainment or fun. It is definitely worth flying here at least once to fall in love forever...

So, for those who are still asking themselves: 'Is it worth participating in the Work and Travel USA program?', here are a few arguments.

PROS:

Staying in America for 2.5-4 months. Moreover, this trip will cost you less than any tourist tour. Plus, you will have the opportunity not only to recoup the program costs but also to come out ahead, i.e., bring back a couple hundred/thousand bucks:)

Broadening your horizons

Absolute improvement of the language. This is not even up for discussion! Even the laziest student will leave the States with a 100% improvement in English — that's guaranteed!

Meeting new people. Take my word for it — you will make a sufficient number of new acquaintances with Americans here.

Experience of independent living

Acquiring skills in communicating with foreigners. Which can be a very big advantage for future employment in an international company, for example.

Work experience abroad

Getting unforgettable impressions from the diversity of America

An opportunity to understand and see how Americans live and think. You will definitely be surprised that Americans have a very banal and stereotypical idea of life in Russia.

A chance to earn your own significant money and acquire what you have long dreamed of. Let me remind you that the minimum hourly wage across America is $7.5, and the maximum is about $16.

CONS: there are simply none!:))))

And most importantly — after visiting America through the Work and Travel program, you will gain invaluable life experience and will definitely realize that any problems we encounter in life are not problems at all, but difficulties, by overcoming which we acquire the necessary knowledge and skills. And all positive or negative events occurring in life only have a beneficial effect on us.
