When it comes to housing in the USA, it doesn't differ much from European prices. In the city center (tourist areas), the cost is sky-high, but if you rent somewhere in the suburbs or on the outskirts, the price is optimal. As for long-term housing, especially for students in the Work and Travel USA program, the employer often provides it. Everything here is completely individual and depends on both the state and the employer themselves.
Accommodation can be single or shared with many people in a room. It could be an apartment or just a room.
For example, our housing costs $50 per person per WEEK – a two-room unit with its own bathroom and kitchen. But, for instance, my friend pays $100 per person per week, sharing a room with two other girls. So, everything is individual. You should also pay attention to this when choosing a job, as you will need to spend 2 months (or even more) in that place.
