The second day started on a really bad note. Our flight was canceled! The most interesting part is that it was canceled because of a hurricane... It would have been believable if they hadn't sent an email two days before the flight (we just don't check our email that often, kill me). Since when did meteorologists become so accurate that they predicted a hurricane 3 days in advance and canceled our flight?
But that's not all. The cherry on top was that we had tickets for an amusement park the next day for a significant amount of money, and a flight the following day wouldn't save us
After a terrible argument (yes, I can now swear terribly in English too) with the airline staff, they found us a direct flight. The problem was that it was from Philadelphia and check-in was closing in an hour, while the drive to Philadelphia takes 1.5 hours...
Well, we tested all our luck and decided to take the risk. We arrived 3 minutes before check-in closed (huge thanks to the driver who managed to break every rule possible so we could make it). That's how we flew to Los Angeles. Wildly tired, wildly hungry, and so wildly happy!
And we went for a walk!
