Waking up at 6:30 for breakfast and leaving at 7:30, we headed to downtown Los Angeles, walked along the Walk of Fame all the way to Universal Studios Hollywood! That's where we spent our whole day!
⠀
If we were doubting whether it was worth the money ($110) before buying tickets, after visiting, I can recommend it to everyone!
⠀
Despite being called an amusement park, it's more focused on creating the atmosphere of a specific movie or cartoon. More sets, less extreme rides.
⠀
My biggest tip: bring your own food! Because spending $15 on a single sandwich is no problem at all...
⠀
The park is quite large, and the lines are long too, so to make sure you hit the best spots, I've put together a little top list of the coolest things:
⠀
- Studio Tour - a tour of the places where movies were filmed! Sets, dressing rooms. Did you know that movies set in New York aren't actually filmed in New York?? It's all sets! And they are so realistic that you can't tell the difference between real concrete walls and plastic ones for filming! (Check my Stories). They also take you into soundstages where they show you that sometimes it's very hard to distinguish reality from fake 😃
⠀
- The Mummy - a really cool themed roller coaster, we liked it so much that we rode it twice... The atmosphere is just wow😍
⠀
- The Wizarding World of Harry Potter - no need to explain why, it's located in the park as a separate area where you can fully immerse yourself in the world of wizards and even buy a magic wand or butterbeer (depending on your age)!
⠀
- WaterWorld Show. It's especially relevant when you realize you've overheated in the sun, as nothing will refresh you better than that 😃 There are separate "Wet" zones and areas where the water won't reach you. As for the show itself, it's a real piece of a movie happening live! Just really cool! We were thrilled!
⠀
- Special Effects Show - they reveal all the secrets of movie making. You just sit there with your mouth open😄
⠀
- Jurassic World. The line is about 100 people long, but there's a life hack. If you don't go through the regular line but use the "Single Rider" line, there will only be a couple of people in front of you😋
