Who doesn't dream of seeing Niagara when traveling to the USA? Almost every US guidebook mentions Niagara Falls as one of the top attractions. And this title is well-deserved!
After seeing Niagara Falls, I'm still puzzled why it wasn't included in the list of wonders of the world. Honestly, SUCH NATURAL MAJESTY just captivates you from the very first moment. Seeing this massive waterfall, with tons of water falling from such a height that it starts to evaporate before even reaching the surface, makes you realize what a TIIIIINY little speck you are in this WHOOOOOLE big world.
I realize my words might make you smile, but those who have been THERE will understand me: it's impossible not to admire this! They say the waterfall is even more beautiful from the Canadian side (you can admire it from both the American and Canadian sides), but I'm already blown away
.
Excursions to the waterfall cost about 40-80 dollars and include:
A visit to the museum;
A boat tour to the waterfall;
A "behind the falls" tour from the underground tunnels;
A visit to the observation deck near the waterfall;
A trip to souvenir shops;
A night tour of the waterfall when the colorful lighting is turned on (a truly amazing sight!)
I recommend everyone go and see THIS with your own eyes! Don't spare the money or time (it's a long trip, of course—just from Boston it takes 9 hours one way)! And don't forget a spare battery for your camera!
