MY CHOICE IS THE WORK AND TRAVEL PROGRAM

I am going to share information about the Work and Travel program. The Work and Travel program is an opportunity for students to travel and work during their 3-month vacation, learn new things, see America, visit popular places, and get to know US culture. The interview with the US consul takes place in March and May. During the interview, you must prove that you will return to Kazakhstan. Many students stay there through this program. Once you have received all the necessary vaccinations according to the rules and paid the full program fee, you can go to the USA for your vacation. If I were to explain the most important thing, it is that after the payment, the main thing is the interview; everything depends on it, and the chance of failing is high, so you need to learn English. Participating in the program is an opportunity given to every student who has turned 18.
This program is a huge opportunity for me; through it, I can achieve my dream. I have always dreamed of becoming a professional boxer. America is the home of professional boxers. There are strong boxers there, and you can meet professional boxing athletes in the USA. By participating in the program, I will learn new things and improve my English, which will have a huge impact on my future career. Because I can learn a new profession there and bring it to Kazakhstan. If I start my own business in Kazakhstan, it will be a victory for me.
Through this program, I will achieve great success. First of all, I will learn and improve my English. I will go to the USA; it is a huge opportunity for someone like me who came from a village. I can work well and even get married. Or I can learn a trade and start my own business. I think a new environment and a new culture will change me as a new person.
If I were the boss at the student exchange center, I would provide as many discounts as possible to students in the program. I would organize various games to increase student interest.
I cannot imagine how the program will change in 20-50 years. But I think it will be easier for students to go. I think the student exchange program will develop well in the future. I think the number of students will increase. Because the program is a very effective opportunity to go to the USA and prove yourself. I can say it is a ticket to a new life.
The cities I want to travel to in the USA are New York and Los Angeles.
I tried to apply for the program in my 3rd year, but I couldn't pass because my English was poor and I was insecure. So now I am in my 4th year at the Academy of Sport and Tourism. I have applied for the program again this year. I think everything will be different this year.
Let me tell you about my favorite boxer, Manny Pacquiao. Manny Pacquiao used to train at the Wild Card boxing club. The coach there, Freddie Roach, has trained many champions. To name a few: Amir Khan, Bernard Hopkins, Miguel Cotto, Mickey Rourke, Oscar De La Hoya, Wladimir Klitschko, and Manny Pacquiao. A coach who has trained professional boxing stars.
Brief biography of Freddie Roach:
He worked as an assistant to Eddie Futch for several years. Currently, Roach has his own gym, the Wild Card boxing club in Los Angeles, where he works with his brother Pepper. In his career, Roach has worked with many prominent athletes. He achieved his greatest success with the Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao.
He was also a professional boxer himself at one time. Freddie Roach suffers from Parkinson's disease, the same disease that the famous Muhammad Ali suffered from. Now let me return to my favorite boxer, Manny Pacquiao, a Filipino boxer who is an 8-division world champion. He is not just a champion; he is a person who has built many houses in his country and done many good deeds. It is said that when he fights, theft and hooliganism stop in the Philippines; the citizens of his country call it the "Pacquiao Effect".
He is my favorite athlete. I want to go to this Wild Card gym, which is located in Los Angeles. Now our Kazakh boxers also train in this gym, for example: Aidar Sharibayev, Aidos Yerbossynuly, and several other Kazakh amateur boxers when they go to the USA. I want to see this gym with my own eyes and take a picture. UFC fighters like Tony Ferguson also train here. This is a famous boxing gym.
The places I want to see in the USA are the Rocky Statue, the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and in general, I want to travel to these popular places.

It is a great opportunity to travel, work, learn new things, and you can even meet famous people.
