The future is in the hands of the youth! This is why it is so important for young people to receive an education, gain experience, and serve their country. There are many programs for youth to study abroad and gain experience in the country, including Bolashak, WAT USA, and academic mobility programs, which I consider the best. Such programs have many benefits for young people: they broaden their knowledge, enhance their experience, allow them to study the culture and language of other nations, learn to apply modern technologies in life, implement them in our country, and also make friends from other countries and become advanced citizens.
My name is Ademi, I was born in the city of Aktobe, and I am currently a 3rd-year student at Zhubanov University, a prestigious educational institution in the western region. I have many hobbies for all-around development; I love reading books, watching movies, especially Marvel, watching football, and learning languages is a special pleasure for me.
Since childhood, I have dreamed of studying abroad and traveling a lot. But now I am studying in Kazakhstan, so I try to make the most of the opportunities provided for a high-quality and interesting student life. Currently, I am studying in the Republic of Poland for one academic semester on a grant from the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan. This was my first trip abroad, and I am very grateful to Allah, my parents, and the university staff for being here at this time. It was a big step for a 19-year-old dreamy girl. Here, I am not only improving my English but also learning Polish, have found many friends, broadened my horizons, and seen the culture and lifestyle of other nations. I was also a volunteer at the university; in Poland, there are many competitions and sports events for different age categories, from small preschoolers to elderly people over 70. And this also gave me ideas about the development of sports in Kazakhstan. And since we are in the EU zone, traveling to other EU countries did not cause us any problems, and I traveled with friends to countries such as France, Italy, Spain, Belgium, Germany, and the Czech Republic. During this trip, I had many new ideas, sincere emotions, and, most importantly, the thought: 'I am not going to stop at what I have achieved.' Also, for the first time in my life, I traveled on a liner, sailing across the Baltic Sea to Sweden. In Sweden, I became interested in Scandinavian culture, and this trip brought many ideas that could be implemented after seeing clean, smooth roads. One of them is the production of asphalt from waste; it is known that the country has many problems with roads, and I think that to find a solution, it is necessary to take such latest technologies and innovations from developed states as a model.
And the emotions I received from the trip, especially from being at the sea for the first time, gave me special sensations; the first impression on the Baltic Sea, I fell in love with the beauty of the sea on the beach in Barcelona, Spain, and a burning love for the water world appeared. I was also in Barcelona at the Camp Nou stadium, one of my childhood dreams. I will say that over the last 3 months abroad, there have been many useful and interesting moments for me.
In a month, I will return to Kazakhstan; many events have happened in my life in Poland, there were many interesting moments in our trip to Europe, and I will always remember this period of my life.
And now, if I talk about why I want to participate in the WAT USA program. This program is very useful for students; I believe it is better to have more such programs so that students can not only study but also spend 3 months of vacation having fun and being productive. I have known about the WAT USA program since the 10th grade when my teacher's daughter first visited the USA, and my teacher talked about it interestingly, showed photos of her daughter, and gave me motivation that we would also have such opportunities when we became students. Of course, at that time my dreams continued to grow, and I also set a goal for myself not only to benefit myself but also to benefit others, my country. I have the opportunity to visit the homeland of such famous writers as Napoleon Hill, Louisa May Alcott, and also Marvel, of which I am a big fan, and this means that I will have to work hard. Being a student, it would be the biggest mistake not to use the provided opportunity, so, never giving up, I will try until the very end.
What does the program give me?
First of all, improving the English language, which is the language of international communication, since my specialty studied at the university is IT-medicine, this profession is a newcomer in our country, and English as a necessary skill for future exchange of experience abroad is very important. Secondly, a new environment, a new level, and a new society. Yes, everything is different in America; I would like to contribute to the development of our country by breaking stereotypes and bringing new innovations and a new level to our society. Then I want to continue my journey and see such attractions as Times Square and the Statue of Liberty in New York, Niagara Falls, as well as Disneyland and Yellowstone. In addition, the main focus of the program is work. This will be an interesting experience for me; before this, I worked in a shopping center, at a semi-finished products factory, taught as a tutor, and now I want to see myself in other aspects. My strength and my will are enough for this. I believe that there is nothing a person cannot do in general; the willpower just needs to be strong. Another benefit of the program is to represent Kazakhstan abroad, to show how many talented, competitive, and ambitious young people we have, to present our country to the world, glorifying our national traditions, dishes, and values, and conveying achievements on the path of modernizing national consciousness. Setting such big goals for myself, I believe that I will achieve great success, and I think that the International Exchange Center will help me on this path.
As I have already said, my future profession includes the field of IT and medicine; the IT field is just developing in our country, so I think visiting the USA, improving my level of English, and in the future bringing great experience, good connections, and fresh ideas from abroad to Kazakhstan. I will do everything possible to establish partnerships with US companies in the future and create opportunities for the development of the IT industry in my Homeland.
And if I had the opportunity to improve this program, I would recommend improving support in the USA, because previously, videos of students who were deceived by their companies were actively discussed on social networks. I understand their situation because I am studying abroad, and I believe that if the program does everything possible to ensure there are no such problems, the center will have reviews and evidence, and students will be convinced that there will be no problems abroad.
I have no doubt that in the future the program will develop even more because such programs are very necessary for our country. If we can instill a sense of patriotism in young people and be sure that they will serve our country, then the goal of the program is fulfilled. I think that in the next 20 years, the conditions of exchange programs will become simpler and will be financially accessible to students. I hope that in 50 years, friendly relations with foreign states will be strengthened in the country, and studying in other states and gaining experience will not be a problem for our future children.
Perhaps in the future, I will become one of the organizers of such a program or help students take advantage of this opportunity; it is only a matter of time. Nevertheless, I am sure that the program will work even better, and many young people will gain great experience and real emotions.
The words written above are only a part of my thoughts, like foam on the surface of the sea; I know that this program is a sign and a great opportunity for me. Good luck to all participants! Dreams come true!
