Now and in the future
The twenty-first century has opened up incredible opportunities for all of humanity. It is an age of travel, technology, and continuous development. Travel is one such aspect; while traveling to another country was a dream for all of us 30 years ago, today we can easily set foot in other parts of the globe whenever we want. It is very encouraging to have programs that provide opportunities to learn a language, get to know the culture of another country, and exchange work experience. One of them is the Work and Travel program, which is a great opportunity for university students to travel by working in another country. Almost all young people go on this program to get to know a foreign country, learn a language, travel with the money they earn, and have an amazing experience.
There are many companies that help with finding a job, finding housing, medical insurance, and obtaining a visa. The fact that such offices are increasing in our country is truly encouraging; it is a guarantee that there are many young people who want to learn a language and develop themselves. There is probably no one who does not dream of vacationing on the famous Miami coast in the United States, but it is also true that going there just as a tourist is not affordable for many. However, thanks to exchange programs, you get an invaluable opportunity to work for 2 months and travel around the country for 1 month. It is clear that the program also influences the formation of a person's character, because in an unfamiliar country, with a language you do not fully understand and a different culture, a person undoubtedly takes responsibility for themselves when facing any difficulties. The cost of living in the United States is higher than in Kazakhstan, and accordingly, the monthly income and standard of living are much higher. This means that you can save money not only for traveling while working but also for new Apple gadgets and branded items. It is truly a program that opens up amazing opportunities.
My main dream at the moment is to have the opportunity to go to America through the Work and Travel program. I want to see with my own eyes the most amazing cities in the world, the locations where famous films were shot, and most importantly, the ocean. Learning the language is also a main goal, because learning English with people who speak it is good practice and paves the way for expanding one's vocabulary. Since I was a child, I have dreamed of seeing the famous city of New York, taking a photo next to the Statue of Liberty, seeing the famous HOLLYWOOD sign with my own eyes, and feeling the breeze from the ocean. To get one step closer to those dreams, I am currently researching and gathering a lot of information about this program. Since I have never been abroad, I have no interesting stories about traveling, so I dream that this dream of mine will come true in 2023. Since I am studying my major entirely in English and dreaming of entering a master's program abroad, developing the language is very important. That is why I want to feel the atmosphere of the English language.
The program has a lot to offer for young people and for the development of the country. It is not just work, but an opportunity for personal growth, a different mentality, and a good income. I believe that in the future, the number of programs that provide such opportunities to the youth of our country will increase.
