I have wanted to travel since I started watching the show "Orel i Reshka". Watching those episodes makes you want to be in their shoes. Traveling is an opportunity to get to know a new culture. But it's not that simple...
Traveling is the best thing in the world.
Since school, I knew about exchange programs like FLEX and Work and Travel USA. But honestly, for a long time, I didn't have a clear picture of how it all works. Recently, over the weekend, I started watching blogs of people who have been to the States through the Work and Travel USA program. From their stories, a picture formed in my head, and I finally understood the basics of the whole process.
I intended to apply next year and earn money for the fee this year. But seeing the contest, I really didn't want to miss such a chance. And I want to touch upon a few subheadings.
"Now and in the future"
It is the 21st century, and many already know about such exchange programs, but we often lack courage and confidence. But I think with each generation, we can notice that young people are open to change. They don't want to work in the same place for 10 or more years like our parents did. You always want some changes. And students often look for part-time work in the summer. And Work and Travel USA is a great opportunity to earn money and relax in the States during the summer. Now, when we see acquaintances participating in such programs, we are surprised, but in a few years, it will be common. Young people are very open to such changes, and at the same time, they develop, travel, and earn money.
How the exchange program would help me:
There are many advantages to an exchange program:
- to see the world, finally those places I only saw on TV
- new acquaintances with various interesting people
- broaden my horizons
- prove to myself that I can do anything
- form myself as a personality
- learn new languages
In other words, all this means new emotions, a new you, and I have always heard that when a person starts traveling, they start to change themselves.
Traveling is also a kind of education, that is, learning from the world and people.
