Travel. Visiting foreign lands. Getting to know new worlds and new cultures. Dreams come true. Isn't it a wonderful feeling? Traveling truly brings great joy and inspiration to a person. It is travel that expands one's horizons and sparks new ideas. During their travels, people learn new languages, find new friends, and try to adapt to a new society. They delve into the history of the country they visit and get acquainted with its centuries-old traditions. It energizes a person tired of the daily hustle and bustle and refreshes their spirit. Traveling teaches a person to be patient. It is well known that various unexpected situations and dangers encountered during travel temper a traveler's patience and sharpen their endurance. In general, the benefits of traveling for both the physical and mental state of a person are immense.
Nowadays, the doors are open to any city in the world. For those who want to develop and study, there is an opportunity to study at Harvard or Oxford. Those who want to work and earn money can find jobs in every corner of the globe. The modern era is an era of opportunities. Therefore, especially in youth, one can accumulate a lot of knowledge and manage to see many facets of the world. One of the bright examples of this is the international Work and Travel program. Through this program, any Kazakhstani student gets the opportunity to go to the country of their dreams. And not just go, but have the chance to work and travel there for a long period. The Work and Travel program has many advantages. On one hand, one can find foreign friends. As we all know, getting a visa to the United States of America is not something everyone can easily achieve. But through this program, it becomes easier for students to obtain a visa. In addition, the project fully addresses issues of student safety, housing, and employment. Any student participating in the project can choose a job according to their preference and get settled. They have the opportunity not only to work but also to travel to the sights of the USA, leaving behind wonderful memories of their life.
In general, everyone has a different dream of a foreign country or city they want to see with their own eyes. There are many places I want to see with my own eyes. For example, Turkey, which is full of history, the technologically advanced USA, and other states. I chose the United States of America for the Work and Travel program. I don't think I'm mistaken in saying that almost all students in the program make this choice. Because the USA is a superpower leading among the most developed countries. The new technologies, skyscrapers, and world-famous cities there awaken one's interest. I want to visit cities in the USA like New York, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and Washington. Specifically, seeing the "Times Square" in New York, the famous "Statue of Liberty", the "White House" building in Washington, and Hollywood in Los Angeles with my own eyes, getting to know American life, and becoming a part of it is my small dream. And I am working towards these dreams. In general, there are many reasons to choose the United States of America. The democracy there, the freedoms granted to representatives of different religions and nationalities, the high level of service quality, and the diverse accessible opportunities push one to go there. Moreover, the salary in the USA is significantly higher compared to our country. This is an irreplaceable opportunity, especially for Kazakhstani student youth.
In the United States of America, I will meet a new environment and new people. I plan to become friends with them and keep in touch in the future. In addition, I want to tell my American acquaintances about my country, Kazakhstan. I want to talk about the culture in Kazakhstan and interest them in the various unique features of my homeland. Introducing them to our traditions and sparking their interest is one of my patriotic duties. And I would also like to get to know their culture or the culture of other friends who came from abroad.
I think working in the United States of America will be of huge benefit to me in the future. Because by working in the USA, firstly, I will improve and develop my English language level. Secondly, currently, the demand for specialists who know English, including those who have been abroad, is very high. The fact that international companies are in great need of specialists who have mastered foreign languages is proof of this. I think living in the USA for more than 3 months would be a great life experience for me.
In conclusion, the Work and Travel program is a bridge for young people to go abroad and achieve their dreams. The number of students who travel to the USA every year is proof of my words. God willing, I hope to see the USA with my own eyes next summer and spend my summer vacation in an unforgettable way. And I wish the same to all program participants!
