Me and my goal
Many people consume content from the Western world. Since childhood, we have seen various American-made films and TV shows, and naturally, this influences our worldview. The main message we see in various media is that it is possible to live better and move towards development, towards your dream.
America is one of the main countries that has a great influence on the global stage. And it seems to me that the people who built this country showed others an example: how a country can develop. I don't know about others, but analyzing modern social networks and the internet in general, I can say that the popularity of success, the importance of career growth, skills, and personal qualities, the idea that every person is talented in their own way, and the concept of individuality and an independent person were mainly promoted by the USA through various creative means, which is why the trend for development and success has become quite popular. Of course, every country has its own individual path of development, just like a person, but it is precisely these ideas that inspire us.
What do I mean by this?
That we are all human and we have similar values and problems. In childhood, when I watched TV and saw those inspiring films, it left an imprint on my subconscious that a person with a dream is capable of anything—just turn it into a goal, cast aside your fears, and keep going until you succeed.
That is exactly why I want to fly to the USA in 2023 to see everything with my own eyes.
To see how the world develops, gain an unforgettable experience, face difficulties and solve them, meet interesting and diverse people, see a mix of different cultures, listen to how native English speakers talk and hear the accents of others, hear various people's stories, and get impressions for a lifetime. This is why many of us fly there. It is a completely different country that is radically different from ours, and that is where all its interest lies.
How can this program be useful for me?
Firstly, it is a valuable experience. Also, working in another place far from home leaves its mark on the development of such qualities and skills as: the ability to be independent, stepping out of your comfort zone, being self-reliant, sociable, and hardworking. Of course, there are difficulties there, but difficulties develop in a person the qualities needed for further achievement of set goals.
Secondly, learning new things, expanding one's horizons. You will see many interesting places that you have dreamed of or were interested in visiting.
It will also help improve your English level, especially listening skills. Communicating with interesting people, hearing their stories, understanding their culture and traditions. By the way, this brings up the third reason: new acquaintances, friends, and joint adventures.
This program provides a great opportunity for many students, but there is a nuance that I would like to see developed even further for the convenience of clients.
Personally, in my opinion, it would be very convenient if InterExchange had its own bot where the main questions that students are usually interested in would be listed, to get an answer immediately.
