It is truly a huge experience of maturity, responsibility, and independence, and undoubtedly a great contribution to my life. My motto in life is: "Travel while you are young." Everyone experiences changes in life, and of course, this trip is no exception. I would like to note that the program provides a unique opportunity for students and opens up broad possibilities for them. I think that thanks to the program, I will not only see America but also have an interesting journey, simultaneously working and improving my foreign language skills.
Let's start with why Massachusetts and what contributed to my decision? I find this state unusually comfortable and cozy. The state is also called the intellectual center of America. My choice settled on Cape Cod. The most beautiful sunsets and the widest sandy beaches are here. You can watch whales here and combine it with fishing. And Hyannis, the city on the island that I chose, captured my heart immediately. It is a summer beach on the shore of the Atlantic Ocean, where I have never been. You can feel an atmosphere of friendliness and hospitality there. So many different people live there, representatives of different nations, races, and religions; thanks to this, it is so easy to feel your own uniqueness.
How do I imagine my trip? I enthusiastically pass my final exams, anticipating the best summer of my life. You sit in the kitchen with your parents and discuss your trip. You see pride in your parents' eyes for the soon-to-be-realized dream of their child. After all, the best feeling for parents is when their child is happy.
And here we are at the airport. There is no anxiety or fear in my soul, just a slight thrill and excitement, the realization that you made it. Boarding the plane, I will be overwhelmed by a million emotions from within that I cannot describe. This will be my first flight on a plane, my small journey into free sailing.
Leaving the airport, I will already feel a different atmosphere, and the realization that you are on another continent, on the other side of this big world, will not come immediately. The first thing that catches your eye is the people. How different and beautiful they are in their own way, their friendliness. People greet each other, smile, hold doors, and are not shy about giving compliments to each other. This makes your soul feel very warm, and you glow, smiling involuntarily.
Stepping outside, you realize what the air, the climate, and everything around here is like. You breathe that air and stand on the land you have dreamed of and strived for for so long.
Arriving in the city center to see all the tallest buildings in New York, I will forget about the existence of my phone. But remembering, I will send all this beauty to my parents. After all, without them, without their faith and hope in their eyes, I would not have achieved anything. Of course, the first days will be difficult due to acclimatization and jet lag, but there is a kind of peculiar excitement in this.
The first month is the most impressive. I imagine meeting my employer, my colleagues at work, and gradually getting used to my new American life. I watch the daily stunning views of America, the ability of people to rejoice at any little thing, the ability to turn every day into a holiday. I know that I will love America for the incredible sense of freedom and have a great time resting, having fun, and just spending time. After the first day of work, I imagine going to the coast and seeing the ocean. My first ocean. The feeling that the world has frozen and time has stopped. I feel how beautiful and warm it is there.
The second month will be no less interesting. I imagine buying a ticket to the concert of my favorite artists, Laszewo, which will take place in Boston. Realizing that the band that reached out to help me at a turning point in my life will be singing right before my eyes. I will have a chance not only to attend the concert but also to see the beautiful city of Boston. I call Boston a "capital monster." The realization that the first world-class universities and the first libraries appeared here. How can these things not embody happiness on my face? This is truly the place where the future and the present touch each other. Modern parks and restaurants, museums, and old markets.
The third month will probably be one of the hardest. You already understand that your work will end soon, you will say goodbye to people who replaced your parents in a foreign country. But this is not a reason to be sad, because life is a priceless gift, and working in America is a priceless experience. You will realize that Americans are an interesting people and that this was an unforgettable experience, an amazing time on another continent that you will remember for the rest of your life.
And then the moment and time for travel arrives. Now you can exhale and relax. I will be able to see everything I thought about and dreamed of, which I only watched in movies with my own eyes. A trip to the West, the Walk of Fame, Los Angeles, San Francisco, California. See famous places, Alcatraz, it is located in San Francisco. It is a prison from which it is impossible to escape. I consider it a unique place; if I am in America, I am obliged to visit it. Of course, Niagara Falls, it is so unusual that it flows between two countries. And Japan is another dream of mine, as America will be a key moment in this. And many, many interesting things.
The realization that you can now buy everything you wanted, give gifts to your loved ones, and take a bunch of photos for your memories.
In conclusion, this trip truly changes anyone's worldview. I am sure that I will become more open and independent. I will become a part of American culture, feel like one of them, learn all the nuances of life in this country, immersing myself in the culture and everyday life. And most importantly, I will make new acquaintances, friends not only from America but from all over the world.
