Tuesday was my first day at school. I was a teacher's assistant at a primary school. Every morning, we took a taxi to school with a few other volunteers. The ride took 15-20 minutes by car. Working with 5-6-year-olds is very tiring, but they make you fall in love with them at first sight. These kids are so sweet, cheerful, speak English perfectly, and are very talented. I played with the children, helped them with their assignments, supervised them, and also performed various tasks assigned by the teacher.

School started at 8:00 and ended at 13:00. At 10:00, there was a food break for both the children and us volunteers. Our school is located in the city center, and there is a very cozy coffee shop nearby where we went every day for breakfast. The waiters already knew us all, remembered what everyone ordered, and we all became friends during this time :) I always got a latte and banana bread (incredibly delicious!)

The school itself is large, enclosed by a high fence, safety is top-notch, and they have their own playground, gym, and swimming pool. On the weekend, we were finally able to catch up on sleep.
