The number of photos reflects the number of impressions. So, this week we only photographed m&m's and Hershey's...
Human life loses all meaning if it lacks some kind of occupation (the nature of this occupation, of course, everyone determines for themselves based on their abilities and needs, but that's not the point). Even surrounded by heavenly attributes, we began to rot in boredom, in idleness. And it is in such moments that you are interested in nothing but small, multi-colored chocolate balls.
Ocean? It only gets you dirty with salt and sand, and you have to wash yourself off afterwards.
Miami? I never liked the sauna, and if they keep adding steam, you just want to die.
Pool? There is nothing more disgusting than ending up in warm water after a sauna, where you feel like a boiled carrot....
Daily trips to the "sauna" to find work were unsuccessful and didn't even bring hope for success. Everywhere, smiling American hands pushed us to fill out Applications, which said: "You have no chance."
#tip #8
If you have definitely decided to spend the summer in Miami or another place with a tropical climate (that's what Wikipedia says), then take the thinnest t-shirts, shorts, and flip-flops with you... Don't even hope to ever wear pants or sneakers, because such things are worn there only by people with suicidal tendencies. =)
#tip #9
In Wikipedia, we read: "The main amount of precipitation falls in the summer, the rainy season lasts from May to September, and in summer there is also high temperature and humidity. The rest of the year, temperatures are moderate with short cool periods. The hurricane season coincides with the rainy season, that is, it lasts from May to September." Thus, dear J-1 Visa holders, you are ending up right in a steam cooker. =) Any Miami resident will tell you that summer is not the season. Consequently, there is much less work than usual. But he who seeks shall find!! =)
#tip #10 (for guys)
Gentlemen, if girls are traveling with you, under no circumstances leave them alone. The luckiest Green card holders from Eastern Slavic countries, the African American male population, the Latin American male population... In short, everyone is ready to help girls in any situation ABSOLUTELY FREE OF CHARGE (that goes without saying! it's enough to look into their honest eyes!)... But it's better not to leave them and not create situations in which they would need help. =)
"Guys, are you looking for work?" rang out the voice of Vadim, whom the blind goddess directed our way. Well, naturally we are!!!! We had already started to despair!! We even began to regret that we refused to work illegally for a suspicious Syrian who pays $7.5/hour and takes absolutely everyone, who asks to work for him for 2 days as an intern, but in reality just doesn't want to pay for that time, who will clearly cheat, underpay, and treat you like slaves. Syrian, we want to work for you!!!
But not just a grain, but a huge grain came our way in the person of Vadim! It all started with a small side job: for $50 for two (only the guys worked), we teleported a huge amount of trash for 40 minutes thanks to a cart that the American didn't allow us to take and which we took anyway. The best way in such a situation, when you want to do something but are not allowed to, is to pretend that you don't understand anything. The American spat on us, the Russians, and... we were already happily swimming in the pool, discussing the first dollars earned.
Euphoria passed the next day. $50 now seemed like a grain that could be spent in one trip to the store, while buying only the essentials.
Vadim didn't appear again. There was no more trash. Two days passed.
A call! Vadim! There's work! $10/hour! We agree! What to do? On a yacht? Only guys? Repairs? Even piloting a fighter jet!
We got up at 6 a.m. to get to work at the boat yard by 8. But, naturally, we were an hour and a half late.
Work!!!!!!!!!!!! On a billionaire's yacht! Moreover, we were offered to live on it so as not to spend 3 hours a day on the road one way and also... we will be fed, very deliciously. =)
Only it's a pity that we were forced to leave the girl, and we didn't want to... But I never cease to be amazed at our luck on this trip. It turned out that the yacht, after repairs, will sail with the billionaire gentleman on board to Canada and, therefore, someone needs to look after the cleanliness of the vessel and the comfort of its owner. In short, stewardesses are needed. So the three of us started working on the yacht. Someone helped paint, someone dragged a huge vacuum cleaner.
How many grains we received this time, I don't know... I lost count. =)
