So much has happened since then. So much had to change. And I had to change so much.

About the sanatorium. I liked it there. Good food 3 times a day and treatments. Most importantly, they feed you so well, and I didn't even gain weight! And the doctors there are so calm. It's a relief! Guys, if anyone has a sanatorium at their university, definitely sign up for it.

I managed to get a job at a restaurant during this time and quit in December, right before the New Year. Because I didn't like it there. A friend got me the job. And since he worked there, he told me what kind of people they were and how to treat them. I did. And in the end, you could say that's why I left. I regretted listening to someone else's opinion. I concluded that I should always (!!!) form my own opinion about people. In general, despite the fact that it's a restaurant, and a not-bad one at that, I didn't like it. I already mentioned one of the reasons, the second is because I mixed everything up, forgot things – delayed them, and in the end, people were unhappy. That saddened me a lot. Of course, there were those who came only to me and liked me. But since I worked little, mainly because I study in the second shift, I earned pennies. In general, I decided to leave and I don't regret it at all.

Oh, yes. November. November was terribly difficult because I was writing articles and also conducting social research. I really liked it. This is my thing!

So, the New Year has passed. And I was resting. I didn't do anything at all!!! I was taking exams and cross-stitching. I finally stitched some cool hedgehogs. February was wildly boring. Besides, I had a sinking feeling in my stomach from the fear of looking for a job. Plus all those scary letters from the agency.

In general, I started looking for a job in January. The first thing I did was download Google Earth. Not a bad program. Then, following the advice of bloggers, I finally registered on j1jobs and Monster. The site is veeery convenient. One of the most convenient I've ever seen. At first, I sent a little bit, about 5 letters each. And I considered it a great feat. Guys!!! DO NOT repeat my mistakes!!!! January and February ended, March arrived, and there was still no job. At this point, I didn't care where to go, as long as I went! I spent entire evenings sending a maximum of 20-30 letters. I started pestering my friends.

Yes, another short digression to understand my state. My thesis supervisor went on maternity leave and was due to give birth in March. So, instead of writing my thesis, I sat and nervously looked for a job. I had to submit an offer by March 15th. No, it's not that the letters didn't come at all. They did, and how. An invitation came to Maine to be a bartender. Then to Jersey as a lifeguard. But I wrote to them a couple of times, and they didn't respond. And I gave up. Or rather, I waited, waited, waited... and then got disappointed and started all over again. Be persistent. If they don't answer you, write, write anyway. And it's better to move on to other methods - call. And not just once. And write again.

I wanted to be a lifeguard. That's why I called. Via Skype. I bought myself a plan - I must say it was terribly cheap. For 3 months of talking to the States (60 minutes a month) it costs 89 euro cents a month. That is, 2.5 dollars for 3 months. But I didn't understand what they wanted from me, and I gave up on that.

I asked a girl who had already traveled to write to me. She wrote. After long negotiations, they answered me that I should have written in February.

Being in a far from happy situation, because it was already the end of March, I turned to friends. I threw out a "call sign" for help on VKontakte. And the guys responded! I didn't even expect so many people to write to me to help! Thank them so much! I made a promise to myself a long time ago to help everyone who goes to America and have confirmed it more than once. That's how I found Dima. He was the same student as us, only he stayed there and got married. He lives in the city of Lake Placid.

This is where a new turn in my story begins.
