Woke up at 8:30. Hmm... that's weird. The alarm was supposed to go off at 8. Gosha is coming at 9... Oh My God!!!! We overslept!!!!!! I wake Anya up, everyone is asleep. And we're sleeping on the second bunk. We jumped up quickly, got ready, and went downstairs to meet Gosha. He's our last hope. In the morning, NY doesn't seem so scary anymore )) We waited for half an hour, he didn't show up... we're panicking... how come... maybe he's late... We decided to go back up to our place, he knows our address, he'll come up if anything. We got on the internet. He arrived... yay!!!! We started sorting everything out. There's no point in working here, housing is expensive. And then Gosha says, 'Girls, where are you going? Take me with you?....' aaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!! That's the long-awaited phrase!!! NO, Gosha, you take us with you wherever you want )))))) ha. We're not alone anymore!!!! Yeah! The guy turned out to be very nice, responsible, and he also knows the language and the subway. And he agreed to help us. We got lucky)))) Thank you, Gosha! You're a super guy! At least something is settled now. But he still needs to stay here for 2 days and pick up his paycheck at the end of the month. Okay. At the same time, we'll walk around New York. He's not working anymore, so he agrees to go for a walk with us. At 11, Zhora arrives and we all go for a walk together.... Oh, yes!!!! This is super!!!! The company is great, everything is okay, the mood is positive!!!!!!! ))))
It's hot, the city was cleaned overnight, but it's still dirty. Sun. Yeah. We walked around Broadway again, it's beautiful!!!!!! Skyscrapers!!!! You have to see it! It's impressive! We took pictures at every building) everyone had a camera. That's very good. Because throughout the day, everyone's batteries died. We're walking from Broadway to the Empire State Building – the highest point in Manhattan, from which you can see the whole city! It costs $20 to go up, but we decided that this money wouldn't be wasted on such a thing. It's a childhood dream - so many movies filmed in New York show it from a bird's-eye view, and we have a chance to see it live! On the way to 5th Avenue, there was some kind of commotion. Some kind of parade. As it turned out, it was a gay pride parade )))) haaa. Music, motorcycles, gays, lesbians, ooooo, you have to see this =)) cool))) we took pictures. But we need to keep going, there's little time, we need to see everything. It's 12 noon. We're going to the Empire. We went inside, 89 floors. Here is the top. AAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!! What a view!!!!!!!! It's unrealistically beautiful!!!!! Breathtaking!!! Yesss, super!!! Mom, thank you for bringing me into this world! We spent about an hour there. We'll remember it for the rest of our lives.
We decide to walk to Central Park. It's a 20-minute walk. Lesha will meet us there – the guy Gosha lives with in New York. Okay. He's Estonian, just finished his first year. We don't know anything else about him yet. We ended up walking for 40 minutes))) because we were taking pictures everywhere we could! Everything there is beautiful. We bought hot dogs for $1, Yesss, the sausages here are much tastier than ours. Overall, a decent hot dog. We sat on some ledge, ate, and went on. Then we discover that the camera is gone. Motherf***er!!!!!! We left it when we were eating. Gosha ran after it. The guy who sold us the sausages took it and started asking for $50, like he found it, the jerk. But thank God we have Gosha with us, who knows how to handle things, and he didn't give him the money, just took the camera back))) Cool! Clumsy... Or rather, I'm the clumsy one. All the photos were worth their weight in gold! Well, okay, everything worked out.
We kept going. On the street, many people are performing, singing, dancing, making money, we saw a Chinese wedding and some fat girl. The thought appeared to dance on the streets too =) We arrived at Central Park. Hi Lesha! A good guy =) very. And cute. We walked in the park, aaaaa, cool, just like in the movies))))) greenery against the backdrop of skyscrapers. Cool! We lounged on the lawn, rested a little, but it's 16:00, no time to rest, because we still need to see a lot.
We decide to go to the Brooklyn Bridge. Now there are 5 of us. That's good! The company is excellent, everyone is positive, everything is super! Life is beautiful! We're taking the subway. The subway seemed scarier and more dangerous. But it's ordinary. But it can't be compared to our Moscow subway, we have a very beautiful subway, and this one is terrible. Old, falling apart, and dirty. We got out of the subway. We walked to the bridge. We're hungry, we decide to go into a cafe. We bought pizza and iced coffee. The pizza was disgusting. Terrible. It made me gag later. We walked past a mini-park, ha, there are so many squirrels. They run up to you and you can feed them. Cute ))) we walked past the place where the 2 twin skyscrapers stood. Ah, history. And there is the bridge. Oooo.... Beautiful! Beautiful view!!! We walked on it for about an hour. My feet are already hurting. We walked a lot. Now we need to go to the hostel, pick up our suitcases, and go to Gosha's on Coney Island to spend the night by the ocean. They are renting a room in a house from a Russian guy and with Russians. It's a long way to go.
We said goodbye to Zhora, it was so sad. He's leaving in the evening for North Carolina.
We arrived for our things. We said goodbye to our Chinese friends, took a photo of our first place of stay, and go to Coney Island.
We arrived. It's already dark. About 23:00. Mmmmmm..... here it is, the fresh smell of the ocean. But you can't see it because it's dark. We decide to drop off our things and go for a walk on the ocean. Here it is – the Russian settlement. It looks very cute. It turns out that several private houses are fenced off and there is security at the main entrance. Yeah. This is no joke. Gosha and Lesha's house turned out to be cute (although we entered from the back, quietly, so the owner wouldn't catch us =), so we didn't see anything inside the house. Well, we dropped off our things, went to the ocean. We decide to buy beer. Ahaaaaa...... So we've arrived at American laws. Gosha and I are, as expected, 21 years old, but the two kids with us haven't reached it =). Well, we go into the store – hmm, funny. This is a Russian district. Americans are selling, but the beer has names like Baltika, Kuler, and all that, produced in Brighton Beach I think, I don't remember, in general from NY. It made me smile =) But we're in America, we want to try American beer, we buy 3 bottles of Budweiser. We go to the ocean. And again a problem. You can't drink there. And also, we're not 21, so it's a total disaster. A patrol might drive by. Well, what to do, we open 2 bottles – like Gosha and I are drinking, we hold the bottles in a bag, because you can't show them either, and then Gosha opens the 3rd one for Lesha. I say – 'Why? You could have opened it later.' Gosha says – 'Well, okay, I'll say I'm drinking from 2. Oh come on, don't worry, everything will be fine, they won't come to us.' We're drinking..... Just started!!!!! And what do you think. Heheeeey! Patrol. Shit!
- Hi, what are we doing here? (in English of course)
- Eeeee..... (we're all silent, like we don't know English). Gosha is talking.
- What's in the bag? Open it. Ooooooo. Give me your ID. So so.... You have a lot of bottles here. (oh my, aren't they jerks, right?).
Well, here Gosha gives his brilliant phrase: 'I'm the one drinking from 2' .... Ppc =))))
The cop shines a flashlight on himself and says: 'Do I look stupid????' (well, just like in the movies=)))) hilarious.
Anyway, Gosha explained everything to him, blah blah, they agreed that he would throw them away right in front of them and we would get out of here. What to do, damn, he went and threw them away =(((( they left. And we went home. It's a shame =((( we decided not to buy anymore, the mood was gone, it's already late, need to sleep, early start tomorrow.
Sleeeeeep!
