September had arrived... and the day we had to head home was getting closer and closer... meanwhile, my depression was getting stronger and stronger... When we realize that we are about to lose something or someone, we start to appreciate it even more. I think that until that moment, Aseka and I didn't fully realize that we were in AMERICA!!! While we were living there, it just felt like a normal thing... so what, it's America, just a regular country... But when it was time to say goodbye to this 'regular' country, I suddenly had an epiphany: 'Oh my God, I'm in America... and in a few days I'll be leaving, and who knows if I'll ever come back.' I greedily inhaled the air, tried to spend more time outside, admiring the beautiful landscapes of Cody. The thought that I would soon have to leave the city I had grown to love so dearly was killing me from the inside... but I couldn't change anything... the summer was over and it was time to head back home. When we first arrived, Aselya told me she couldn't believe we were in America... and only when it was time to leave did she finally believe it... but it was already too late... Someone might think I'm contradicting myself: writing that America is just a regular country and then whining about how I didn't want to leave... Yes, I didn't want to leave, but not because I fell in love with the country itself... no... I didn't want to leave behind the memories that connected me to America, or rather to Cody... I didn't want to leave these sweet and incredibly touching people... I didn't want to leave Cody, the most wonderful city in the whole wide world! It was very hard for us there at first, we had to suddenly become completely independent and solve all our numerous problems on our own... and when you get something with great difficulty, that is exactly what you don't want to lose the most...
