Here in the USA, I don't know what's wrong with these people, but they are different! They are friendlier and more welcoming. In New York, you'll get help at every turn, everyone except for the n-word =)) If you arrive at a station and don't know where your platform is, you just need to look at your ticket with a thoughtful expression, and someone will definitely come up to you and help you find everything you need!
In New Harbor, people seem like they aren't even from this planet. They might give you a ride if you're walking along the road. Every passerby and every driver greets you. The shops and cafes are staffed by very welcoming and friendly Americans.
An example of generosity: as soon as we arrived in New Harbor, we asked our employer if we could find bicycles here to speed up getting around the settlement. To this question, he said that in a week you will have bicycles. Lloyd, that's our employer's name, asked all the residents for bikes but couldn't find any, so he went to the store, bought two bikes for me and Andrey, and said - enjoy! =) Our level of happiness at that moment was immeasurable! ))
We suspected that Americans are very friendly people, so we took care of some small gifts and souvenirs from Russia in advance. Lloyd was very happy to receive amber products, Russian cognac, photographs, and other odds and ends from Russia. It's no wonder why we, unlike the Bulgarians who have been sitting here for 4 weeks and still haven't received bikes, got ours—because we Russians are just as friendly, but in our own way.
At work, the guys will prepare any food for you and top it with some sauce. In general, Americans are incredibly kind and friendly guys. Which I can't say about the Bulgarians.
We work and live with Bulgarians. They are nice guys, no incidents observed, but they are all a bit slow. They have these strange Bulgarian parties, drink some weird alcohol (almost none of them are 21 yet=))), talk about some nonsense, and only laugh at Bulgarian jokes. In general, we only say hello to them because they are from a distant planet. I don't understand how Bulgaria could have been accepted into the European Union =)) Monkeys just climbed down from the trees, and they are already in the EU =))
It's a different story with Americans; it feels like we are similar in some ways and different in others. All this makes our communication with them pleasant, mutual, and interesting. I hope everything continues in the same spirit...
