In January 2012, Sagin and I started processing our documents and paying the first and second installments. Through an acquaintance from Aktobe in Ufa, we got a Job offer and bought tickets for June 10th. Time flew by, spring arrived, but the offer was not confirmed. We called the employer and InterExchange almost every night, but with zero results. It turned out that the acquaintance who got us the offer had been scammed by his own friend in America!!!!!!!!!!! They sent him the money, but he didn't fill out the offer completely and didn't inform his employer that 4 students would be working for him (2 other Kazakhs from Ufa were also planning to go to the States).

In short, by mid-May, my patience ran out and I found a new offer through Sveta Logunova. There's a rumor online that she (the organization) scams people, but everything went well for us. The offer was confirmed in a week. We sent the money after the offer was confirmed, somewhere to America, I don't remember where anymore=)

By the way, before I found this offer and it was confirmed, the two of us were planning to go for an interview around April 27th. I don't know what came over us=), the offer wasn't confirmed, we had neither a SEVIS ID nor a DS-2019, but we were set on traveling to Astana for the interview. On the day of departure, Sherkhan called me and asked me to check the status of his offer. I called, and they told me his status was LM1, and he couldn't go to the interview. Then they added that the two of us couldn't go either. That was a blow to me. Hopes for a break from studies and getting a visa vanished=(
