The last two days of my stay in Cape Town were dedicated to job hunting.
I wrote a resume, printed it out, took copies of my passport, visa, and the letter from CIEE with work authorization.
And I walked along the streets in the city center)
I went into almost every hotel and hostel. In most of them, I was turned away immediately. Not the season, no work, no vacancies!
In some, they took my resume and said they would call if anything came up.
In one, they asked for my phone number. Only for some reason, it seemed to me that they threw the paper with the number away right there)
But during my walks around the city, I found a lot of interesting things! For example, a bunch of buildings... purple ones!
I'll show you now)
I also discovered a multitude of strange statues! The meaning of which is completely incomprehensible..
In the evening, while hanging out with fellow countrymen, I learned a lot of useful information again.
For example, that every month some fruit suddenly becomes cheaper here. Right now, you need to hurry up and buy oranges! What will happen in August is unknown)
Today I headed to the Waterfront area, which is located right on the coast. There are many restaurants and cafes there. There is a possibility that they need waiters or hostesses. The result is about the same as yesterday)
They took my resume and said to come back tomorrow. In most places, they refused immediately.
And in one place, they asked if I was Russian, and turned me away immediately upon hearing the answer.
Well, well.
Anyway, I'm not giving up)) I think everything will be as it should be.
