So, friends, just yesterday I received an email saying that my job offer was successfully accepted for review by the sponsor InterExchange=) And since the employer is reliable and I am sure they will pass the verification, everything is fine=))))))))
Now I just have to pay the second installment and wait for the sponsor to send the DS-2019 form to the US Consulate in Yekaterinburg.
By the way, I received a letter from CMO with the following points:
- The deadline for submitting a Job Offer is March 15. Thus, all participants of the self-arranged option must provide an invitation from the employer to CMO before the established deadline.
Not very good news, to put it mildly. As stated in the agreement itself: "In case of providing a job invitation to CMO later than March 15, 2011, the Participant assumes the risk that scheduling their interview at the US Consular institution for obtaining a US entry visa may be impossible."
Therefore, if you don't have an offer yet, look for one urgently!
- Due to the fact that DS-2019 forms will be issued only after your employers are verified, the second installment for the program must be paid by March 10. To receive payment forms, you need to visit the CMO office.
A dubious pleasure in my opinion. Paying for something that doesn't exist yet. If the offer is there and it's verified, then, of course, yes)
- Due to changes in the Work and Travel program procedures, all participants must appear at the CMO office to sign an additional agreement to the program contract. This agreement must be signed by all WAT 2011 participants before March 1.
An agreement, yes. All this is connected with stricter requirements of the embassy this year. But it's okay, we'll make it through, friends!)))))
- According to the new rules of the US Department of State, all participants in international exchange programs must have valid medical insurance for the entire period of their stay in the USA. The medical insurance included in the program cost covers the period specified in the DS-2019 (i.e., from May 15 to September 15). Thus, if you indicated a return date from the USA after September 15, you must pay the cost of medical insurance for one additional month in an amount equivalent to 20 US dollars, simultaneously with the payment of the second installment.
I think an extra $20 won't change much:) By the way, let's calculate: if a month of insurance costs $20, then 20*4=80. The insurance is suspiciously cheap, what do you think?=)
- We remind you once again that WAT participants are prohibited from working in strip clubs and other adult entertainment venues. If it is discovered that a participant has violated this rule, they will be immediately excluded from the program.
In general, dear ladies, if you do it, do it without unnecessary noise=) It's just not encouraged, not encouraged..))
Dear participants, who else has their offer already confirmed?
Good luck and patience to the rest!))
