C: Szia!
Én: How do you do!
C: How’re you?
Én: Pretty good
C: (nem hallott semmit, és újra kérdezi) How’re you?
Én: I’M FINE!
C: OK Are these documents yours? (mutatja az űrlapjaimat, a fotót)
Én: Yes
C: Are you sure?
Én: Yope!
C: Where’re you going to work?
Én: M.P.company,Ww,NJ.
C: Who is the governor on NJ state?
Én: ??? I’m sorry? I don’t remember!
C: And who is the president of US?
Én: B. Obama!
C: All right, and what do you study?
Én: (én 'where'-t hallottam) Kazan Cooperative Institute
C: NO! I mean what do you study??
Én: Oyy, economics!
C: Who is the minister of economics in Russia?
Én: Ööö... German Gref!
C: Very well. Your English is good. And what’s your favorite movie?
Én: (kiböktem az elsőt, ami eszembe jutott) Comedy – Home Alone!
C: Oy, you mean Home alone. Do you really like it?
Én: YES! (imádom)
C: OK You’ll get your Visa! Everything is fine! Have a nice summer!
Én: Good bye!

-Tiszt: Hello
-Én: Hi (mosolygunk!!!)
-O: So... let me see... You are an exchange student, aren’t you?
-M: Yes, Sir
-O: And what are you going to do in America? Are you going to work?
-M: I'm going to work as a waitress at an Italian restaurant. You may laugh, but working as a waitress has been one of the dreams of my life. Indeed, every time I am at the restaurant with my parents or friends, I want to be at the place of the waiter.
-O: (A tiszt valóban nevet) Well, it’s a hard job, believe me!
-M: Yes, I’ve heard about it. Well, I’ll be given an opportunity to try it out!
-O: Were do you study?
-M: (majd elegáns mozdulattal előkerül az diákigazolvány, a leckekönyv, az egyetemi igazolások, és elkezdődik az óda az Alma Materhez) I’m enrolled in the program of the Russian-French University which means that I am a student at the Linguistic University of NN, where I study French and English, and at the Economics Department of the NN State University. That’s why when I graduate in two years I’ll be given two diplomas!
-O: (Üzleties módon lapozza a leckekönyvet, nézi a pecséteket a diákigazolványban) I see...Very nice...May I have a look at your previous passport with the previous visas? This is the new one, isn’t it?
-M: Yes, the passport that you have is new, because the old one has already expired. Here is my old passport. (Átadom a régi útlevelet, a tiszt lapozza, a régi amerikai vízumra rányomja a „Canceled without prejudice” pecsétet). As you see, I've traveled a lot in my life. I've been many times to Europe: Germany and France. I strongly believe that travelling is the greatest thing in the world! One gets to know other cultures, mentalities, meets new interesting people and practices the language. Alone changing the atmosphere makes it worth to go on trip!
-O: Ok, well...thank you, your documents are all right, everything is fine and you can pick up your visa within few days. Good luck and have a nice trip!
-M: Thank you. Bye!

C: Good morning. (alig nézett rám, közben a papírokban turkált)
Én: Good morning. (szélesen mosolygok.)
C: Summer Work and Travel, right?
Én: Right.
C: So, last summer you were...?
Én: Tennessee, Chattanooga. (végtelenül őszinte arc)
K: Excuse me?..
Én: TENNESSEE!
C: Oh, oh, ok, I see. Tennessee. Last time you came back late....
Én: (a szívem a torkomban dobog, rossz gondolatok kúsznak be, a mosolyt egyre nehezebb megtartani).
K: ....October, 15... Right?
Én: Yes, sir.
K: You missed some classes, right? (fenyegetően és nyomással)
Én: megőrzöm a maradék önuralmamat és... hirtelen meglepően nyugodt hangon kibököm: No!
K: (zavar az arcán) – No??? But your classes start....?
Én: Oh, sure, the first of September. But first two months our schedule is rather unstable, classes are not very serious. It was not difficult for me to catch up. So, I didn’t have any problems. (megint őszinte szemek.)
K: Ok.... (megint a papírokban turkálva, úgy tűnik, a válasz kielégítette). So, you visited the US once. Why do you want to do it again?
Mély levegőt vettem és.... hirtelen kiböktem: - I just enjoyed it. I like it!
Where are you going this summer?
Én: Maryland.
K: Ok. Can you show me your student ticket?
Én: Here you are. (átnyújtom a diákigazolványt).
C: Ok... Are you a sophomore?
Én: No, I’m in my forth year...
K: Oh!!! O’kaaaaay!!! They just make these stamps so close to each other that I can barely see them.
K: Oh, ok. Ok. So, everything is ok with your documents. (Itt a székével egy kicsit hátrébb gurul, és megkérdez valakit: "We are doing the same as last time, aren’t we?"
Én: (Itt esik le, mire gondol – március 18., amikor mindenkit elutasítottak. Csalódott vagyok, de még mindig próbálok mosolyogni.)
K: Everything is fine. But.... We have some problems with your sponsor organization, they didn’t provide us with correct information. It’s not your fault. You can’t get your visa till we fix the problem. Ok? (összerakja a papírjaimat egy kupacba)
Én: Ok....(megértően bólintok.) My passport... (nyújtom a kezem)
K: No, no! We will keep it till your company fixes the problem. Ok?
Én: Oh! Sure!!!
C: Good bye!
Én: Good bye!
