今天我被阳台上住的一只鸽子吵醒了,它打翻了一盒麦片,还若无其事地继续啄食。是的,我现在睡在阳台上,在Yurka家18楼,就是我“岛上新生活”第一天留宿的那个房间。

我们的人在Gilbert那里工作(就是Ulyana从Pocho离职后去工作的那个日本人,她以前在那里发传单)。他开了个新店,所以他们现在有干不完的活——刷厨房、清理烤箱、打扫卫生、煮饭......虽然工资是每小时7美元,甚至低于最低工资......但没人介意。廉价劳动力 =) Yurka通常每天工作10个小时——从早上9点到晚上7点。我在Frog工作,从6点到10点。

Gives out welcome souvenirs.

Hands out menus.

Seats guests accordingly.

Introduces the Waiter or Bartender.

Identifies all available tables in different stations.

Helps guests with special requests Helps with group table organization.

Answers telephone in an attentive and cordial manner and puts through all authorized calls Takes reservations.

Makes special reservations.

Keeps podium clean and stocked with menus, crayons, souvenirs and party promotion pamphlets. Works together with all personnel as a team.

Carries out all tasks assigned by the Mandil on Duty according to the Opening and Closing Checklist.

Upon completing all tasks, reports to the Mandil.

Clocks out at the end of his/her shift. Picks up any trash or papers found lying around.

Puts back in its place anything that is out of place.

Carries out any task or job suggested by managers or those that are necessary to keep our standards of quality and those that are needed to keep our guests happy.

Carries out all the activities written in the SOA (Anderson's Operating System).

Knows the Quality Policy.

Works towards the accomplishment of the Quality Objectives.

Helps in the Continuous Improvement of the Procedures.

有时我站在楼上,但大多数时候在楼下。站在楼下很无聊,但责任最小......Senyor Frog(充气青蛙)在我旁边跳舞,我负责给人们和它拍照,给他们看菜单,回答问题,发优惠券,叫电梯......在楼上我一直受到Carlitos的监视......除了接电话,其他一切都很顺利......电话让我不知所措,大多数情况下我根本听不懂那些人想要什么......太惨了。非常丢人,但同时,我真的很努力......另一方面,Yurka说Carlitos在面试时就已经看穿我了,如果他对我不满意,早就把我解雇了。

尽管有时太忙了,但我还是尽量应付,保持微笑,那里的服务员和传菜员(负责上菜的人)都很喜欢我。团队氛围很好——大家互相开玩笑、夸奖对方。

我的试用期结束了,这意味着我现在是100%正式员工了......剩下的就是想办法优雅地离开,让大家都满意和开心......)))

最近我回家看到了一些东西 =) Denis从Gilbert的餐厅带回了7箱草莓......那个狡猾的老头买的都是快过期的产品(非常便宜),然后立刻拿来做菜......因为店里生意很火爆,东西还没来得及彻底坏掉就卖完了......而且味道非常好!!!所以,Denis带回了一些不能用的草莓,但我们挑拣了一下并冷冻起来了......现在我们喝茶时用它代替糖......糖很贵......就像卫生纸和洗衣粉一样))))

晚上我们俩都很累(虽然不知道我累什么),回到家,吃着4美元的美味牛排,看着《豪斯医生》,然后倒头就睡。这一切都发生在我们的阳台上。鸽子是见证人。早上我起床时,它已经不见了。
